Step-by-Step Instructions for Drawing the Golden Gate Bridge
How to Draw a Great Looking Golden Gate Bridge for Kids, Beginners, and Adults - Step 1
1. Begin by laying the basic lines. Extend three long, straight lines at a diagonal angle to form the roadway. Notice that the lines converge, getting closer together as they cross the page. This gives the perspective of distance. Then, use a curved line to draw the near shore. Then, use a series of straight, connected lines of different lengths to begin drawing the first tower.

2. Draw another series of straight lines of different lengths parallel to the first. Then, draw a second shape like the first, forming the opposite side of the tower. Connect the tower sections using a rectangle at the top. Then, use a series of short curved lines to complete the top of the first section.

3. Draw more rectangular girders between the two tower sections. Beneath each girder, draw a small curved rectangle and two straight lines. This gives the girder a three-dimensional appearance.

4. Draw a final rectangular girder, with a curved rectangle beneath it and a straight line across the top. Complete the outline of the tower. Then, draw a straight line parallel to the bridge at the foot of the tower. This begins to add dimension to the bridge itself.

5. Draw a series of lines along the side of the tower, parallel to the outline. Then, Draw several series of straight lines along the side of the bridge. Extend three straight lines downward as a continuation of the tower. Erase as necessary.

6. Continue to draw straight lines along the side of the bridge. In the distance, draw the second tower, erasing as necessary. Draw a rectangle within a rectangle at the base of the tower, then extend two sets of lines upward.

7. Draw rectangular girders between the sections of the distant tower. Then, sketch the main cables. Draw long curved lines between the two towers, and between each tower and the end of the bridge.
